Registry of ancestral land without formal distribution

(Querist) 13 May 2012 This query is : Resolved 
My father and his two brothers have inherited the ancestral land earned by their father and his legacy as well. Will it be possible for them to make a sale deed of the entire property without the consent of my father? If they do concealing the fact of my father being one of the heirs, what should my father do?
Please suggest a way out to stop the registry till formal distribution does not take place.

if father had from his earning bought land and on his death his chikldren inherited the property it would not ancestral land .

consent of father is necessary for sale of alnd standing in name of father and his brothers

File a partition suit and register les pendece on record of right as without partition your father has undivided share in every sq.feet in ancestral land.

It is better to file for a suit of partition before proceeding with sale.
