Religious Act

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 21 May 2010 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
A Brahmin priest on the back of his ancestral house established a personal temple, and after some time he opened it for “Darshan “ of general people also. He is by profession priest (Purohit). Also he received a land in gift for upkeep of the temple from one of his “Yajman” (Client). Some people are trying to take control of it so that they can enjoy the property of it. Will his temple come under religious trust act? Has it become a public property, it is an extension of his house? What are his right over the land he received in gift?
Plz. suggest.
Thanks to all.

The endowments act of the particular state where the property is situate will be applicable in the case.
