This query is : Resolved
I had been working for Indian Oil Corpn Ltd. As I was also preparing for civil services I took UNAUTHORISED LEAVE. After 5 months company charge sheeted me for unauthorised absence, proceeded with enquiry and finally decided "Removal from Service".
Its ok with me as I myself wanted to leave the organisation but only handled my resignation once the chargesheet was issued.
What I want to ask is that this DISCIPLINARY ACTION and the DECISION is any way going to hamper my prospects for joining Civil Services.
Kindly Help

Removal from service, as dismissal from service or by use of the terms "removed" or "terminated" from service?
If dismissal, no chance, as that will be a total fullstop for any Government job.

Thanks for the reply sir.
The order mentions "REMOVAL FROM SERVICE" and there still exists for me a chance for appeal against the action, as mentioned in the communication given to me by the corporation.

Removal from service does not disqualify you from Government service. Better send an effective appeal to the appellate authority and get the order of removal from service modified to some lighter penalty, so that you can get an honourable exit from the present job after submision of your resignation.
