Renewable energy - 80% tax depreciation under income tax 1961

(Querist) 08 January 2012 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
I am MD of GLOBAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION PRIVATE LIMITED. The company initially manufactured Solar Home Lighting System (SHLS), Solar Lanterns and Inverters for rural applications.

I want to know how can our solar power generating system is entitle for depreciation under Appendix II, Part-A, Clause XIII under the head of "Renewable Energy Devices is entitle for Depreciation @ 80% under Income Tax Act 1961."

Our customer can get it?

Kindly give me solution.

Thanks,
S.Roy

Your query pertains to a commercial purpose so it is better to engage a CA or a tax lawyer for this purpose instead of raising this at public platform.
