MY QUESTION IS " IS THIS APPLICABE TO CASES IN PUNJAB AND HARYANA ?" IF SO HOW ?
s.subramanian (Expert) 07 August 2010
it is applicable to all over india because the decision of the supreme court is the law of the land.
DEFENSE ADVOCATE.-firmaction@g (Expert) 07 August 2010
The SC judgement will be applicable for Delhi only , if other states have defferenrt provisions in its rent laws .

The refered citation has limited relevence to the Delhi HC judgment only.

SC citations will be applicable all over India for central laws , procedure and interpretation not otherwise.

If general interpretation of any rent matter has been given by Hon'ble SC then it is applicable all over India otherwise also the quarist has not claimed that the SC judgment is based over Delhi High Court matter rather he has cited that matter in the light of judgment passed by Delhi High Court.

Hon'ble S.C. decision is applicable and cited for proper adjudication of a case, the ratio of the decision alongwith basic fundas, etc. is to be seen/cited.
