if your landlord requires place for his personal use he can file suit for eviction .

We do not know what ground has been taken by your land lord for your eviction ,in absence there of it is hard to anticipate about comparative merit of his eviction or your defense case.
Law of tenancy does not provide any privilege to senior citizen.
Drag on as much as you can,as many tenants do to survive with possession.
