Dear Members
I would like to know about the steps to be followed against the complain made neighbour at local police station.
FACT:- we are constructing our residential RCC G+2 building but the same has already started one year ago and the construction still going on. But one day our neighbour has made a complain against us i.e. 1. Due to illegal construction his properties are damaged 2. due to construction few theft has been incurred at his property.
And for point:-1 The neighbour has never communicated about any particular losses from our construction.
2. The neighbour has never communicated about any particular theft from our construction.
Note that:- we have already demarcated with the construction net all across the building. But we have visit 2-3 time at local police station for met the concerned but we are not able to met them.
Please advice me what steps i have to take to settle down the Complain.

You are silent on the nature of case filed against you.
If it is civil case, then fight it merit.
If it is criminal then first take bail and then fight on merit.

Consult local lawyer and defend the case against you on merits.

Normally police need not take up the civil matters complaints. You can explain the police that the complainant never made known to you about the grievances and hence no action need be taken.

In my understanding, the said complaint would have been the result of your construction workers not obliging the neighbor's need for repairing their building damaged due to your constructions. This problem could have been solved easily if there reasonable demands were met or atleast assured them to make their losses good. However, even now, you may arrive at a negotiable table to solve the issues amicably. Donot drag on the issue further which may even lead to an injunction which will hamper or stall your construction work for even years resulting into heavy monetary loss, think wisely.
