I mean she will have to apply in Jharkhand or UP for the caste certificate? please explain.the marriage was solemnized in Uttar Pradesh but the husband's permanent address is of Jharkhand.

religion can be changed. but community never changed even after marriage also.
married to other caste boy will not cause any effect in to girl's community.
even consult your local advocate.

I am aware that the girl can maintain the OBC status but my question is from which state they should solemnize their marriage so as to get the OBC benefits and also change the guardian's name to her husband. Wife is from Uttar Pradesh and Husband is from Jharkhand. Their marriage was an arranged one and took place in Uttar Pradesh.

If her caste is considered as OBC in the state where she got married and the authorities are willing o grant her the OBC certificate what is the hitch in getting it or else she has to go back to UP to get one.
