Right of daughter in law in my property after filling a divorce case

(Querist) 05 January 2015 This query is : Resolved
Hi My son has filed divorce case , now my daughter in law is asking right in my property.
I already debarred by son from my property before filing divorce case. Does she has any right in my property under Hindu law.
P.S - She is well educated but without any job. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 05 January 2015
Whether you debar or not it hardly affects the status of title, ownership, rights and interest of your son.
Your DIL had never and shall never have any right, interest or claim over the property acquired by you.
She is the responsibility/ liability of your son and not you, in any case.

Yes, DIL ha no semblance of right, title or interest in your property.

Your daughter in law has no right on your property.

Though debarred, your son has legal right in your estates, but not your daughter in law.

Just be relaxed that there is no law yet that she can stake a claim on her father in law's property.

I agree with all experts.
@Mr.Kalaiselvan - you are correct "there is no law yet" - but who knows - anything is possible in the guise of dowry harrassment!!
