Right of way

(Querist) 12 July 2013 This query is : Resolved
There is a 16' wide lane running in the middle of 2 row of houses opposite to each other. The lane is enough for 2 Maruti/Alto cars to bypass each other. My house is in the middle of one of the rows which leads out to a 20' wide road which connects to a 25' road. I am denied entry/exit as a Bolero is permanently parked and not used at the entry/exit point. Repeated requests to park the Bolero (whose owner has a corner house) on to the 20' road has gone unheeded since the last one year. Being a senior citizen I find it risky to bypass the Bolero as my car may slip into a 1' drain and turn turtle. Driving out from the front is easier than backing as another vehicle is at the other entry/exit point.

Please help.

Talk to the owner of the Bolero again, this time take some respectable neighbours with you or some influencial person and request him to park it somewhere else and sort out the matter.

Spoke to them several times but in vain. Since this is their private vehicle there is not much I can do unless there is a legal remedy. Earlier their Company Scorpio used to block our way till I wrote to the Company management and the matter was resolved.

Thank you. But they refuse to oblige and insist that the Maruti 800 can bypass the Bolero. Cannot afford to take the risk because when attempted the wheels of my car is on the edge of the drain and the danger of my car turning turtle is very real. Any legal remedy ?

Thanks to them the right side of my car got dented. Could not do or claim anything.
