My father was holding ancestral property in his name after a survey in 1954. He has given a significant portion of ancestral property to his sisters by passing a compromise decree in a court in the year 1972. My maternal grandfather filed a court case against the passed compromise decree on my behalf as a guardian (as I was minor that time). This case is still running in the court. In this regard I want to know:
Can my father give a portion of ancestral land to his sister when I was minor? Please provide reference of rule in this regard.

how can suit be pending for 40 years . must have been disposed of by now .
on what basis you say property is ancestral . did it belong to your father forefathers ?
it is necessary to go through the pleadings of case filed by your maternal grand father .

Unless one looks into the brief of the two cases, no accurate advice is possible.
Only one thing is definite that no one ,not even a father, have right in law to give away any share of his minor son to any other body, not even to his sisters.

It is also not understood how your grandfather filed case on your behalf when your natural guardian was your father and in his absence your mother?
