Sir, Could you please advice the procedure for getting RNI registration number for an academic journal published for the last ten years.

Approval of name of the journal is the first and foremost action that you have to take from the Registrar of newspapers of India office. If the name is not already approved for some other party only then formalities for registration of the journal can be taken up by that office.

So, apply for approval of the title of the journal by proposing three different names to the RNI office. Whichever name would be available approval can be given to you. Otherwise, you will have to apply again with some other set of three names.
