Rpresntation of cheque before filing case u/s.138 of ni act

Dear Sir,

We seek your expert advise on the following....

1.Can we represent cheque repeatedly to the banker for encashment till the end of its validity and issue demand notice to the cheque issuer at last attempt?

We would like to know advantages and disadvantages of the same.
