Sir,
I am having 5 acres of land in which I made sold out one acre to a person in 1996. The sale deed was registered but the patta was in my name. In 1997 the entire land was notified for acquisition by TN Govt. and I got stay from Madras HC(including the sold out land) and finally the MHC favouring me and I got succeeded. The Writ Petition was filed in my name and the entire court proceeding was contested by me only. From 1996 the possession of the land is with me and I am paying all the land taxes and I am doing agriculture. Now, is it possibility of there to get back the sold out land since I am having possession of the land as well as paying all the taxes. Kindly clarify.

you have to approach the purchaser whether he is willing to resell the 1 acre land sold by you to him

Admittedly, you have sold out some portion of the property. In this circumstances, you can not claim any title over the said sold out portion.
Though the patta and the stay order of high court against the acquisition are stand in your name, it will not create or show your title over the entire property unless and until the sale deed is declared as null and void or invalid by a Court.
