Scanned copies of sale deed

(Querist) 31 January 2014 This query is : Resolved
Hello Sir,

We are going for a joint development of our land (500sq yd) with a reputed builder.

Yesterday, the builder wanted a copy of the sale deed. I sent by email the scanned images(color) of the sale deed whilst cc'ing my brother and sister. I had to do this since the builder wanted copies urgently for obtaining some permission from local authorities and we live in different cities.

Now, the fear is that since these were color copies of the sale deed were sent as an attachment by email, these can land in wrong hands.

Please advise if anyone can forge these documents.

you have nothing to fear if you are entering into agreement with a reputed builder . you must have sent them into his email id only . emails are protected by passwords . only if some one knows builder passwords or hacks his account can scanned copies get into wrong hands .

Hello Sir,

Thank you for the prompt response.
What I am more concerned is if these scanned copies be forged. These are pretty old docs - dating back to 1980's.

not to worry. In all cases, its are copies only..

Your fear is misplaced.
Concentrate your energy in making hard bargain with the builder on price not on these non issues.

nothing to be worried, as they are only copies and they can not use it as an original though color print.

Copies are copies and not originals. Agree with the experts.
