Scheduled caste benefit in central services

hi sir/madam
I am government employee working in Dept.of Atomic Energy.As I was selected as open category candidate for my current job as I do not have the Caste certificate at the time of recruitment/selection,so I applied in General category and got selected ,but Now i have made Caste certificate and i want to take benefit of scheduled caste reservation in my promotion .
so plz tell me how can i do this.
i have joined DAE 11 Yrs ago and my service period has completed 9 yrs excluding 2 yrs of training period.

Let this Act come in existence as voting in Rajya sabha is scheduled for Monday and thereafter a due notification shall be issued and only then correct reply of your query can be given.

despite supereme court directions even as on now reservation benefit is being given in promotions.

Post recruitment caste certificate is never viewed without suspicion

Depends upon how you are able to prove and convince the authorities about your caste after 11 years of your recruitment.

The moment you produce caste certificate at this stage the deptt is bound to seek its authenticity.

The SC candidates below you are likely to challenge the same.

It is strange :-

(i) if you really belonged to the said community did you not know of your case status before applying.

(ii) if you knew what prevented you from having certificate earlier.

There are many such candidates of SC/ST castes which openly competed and got selection without taking benefits of their caste reservation so if any additional benefit has been introduced, all those principally be provided chance to avail that benefit.

No additional benefit is introduced. Reservation was existing in promotion so far but only upto first appointment to Class.I post.

As a matter of normal practice all SC/ST candidates procure certificate before entering job market. No candidate know in advance that he will surely selected as general candidate and none wants to take risk.

In any case the certificate at the time of application entitles the candidate for exemption from exam fee and TA for interview.

rerevtion is available even in allotment of Govt accommodation also. So non-procurement of certificate is not likely to be easily understood by authorities and by other SC candidates below him in seniority list.

The possibility otherwise can also not be ruled out though this is the genral practice which sudhir has told.
