Execution of tasks and judicial practices are two different aspects of law. CAs cannot act as legal practitioners to fight legal cases in the courts of law.

Advocates would have Court work and consultation on complicated issues

Dear Gopal Soni you have raised a very nice question here on this platform. I am agreed with the view that execution of task and judicial practice are two different aspects of law and CA's can't practice in any court of law but in the case of tax matters like Income Tax, VAT or GST the authorities below High Court are deemed quasi judicial courts and anybody can appear before these authorities as authorised representative whether he or she is an Advocate or CA or even an Accountant. No doubt our government is making tax laws as CA friendly and everywhere publicly advertises and advice public to consult your CA not your Tax Consultant or Tax Advocate so the message goes in public that Tax matters are dealt by CA's not by Advocates. Here I am quoting an example how our government is promoting CAs in the field of taxation practice. In Income Tax when we login first time for filling ITR and creates master then Mobile number and E-mail Id is asked and when you enter mobile number and E-mail Id then it asks that whose mobile number and E-mail Id is this and if you have noticed there was option of CA but no option of Tax Consultant or Advocate. This has recently been modified by the government as Authorised Representative after raising objections from advocates fraternity. So no doubt the scope of practice in taxation for advocates is decreasing. Only scope is in High Court and Supreme Court and everybody knows that how many advocates have potential to practice in High Court or Supreme Court.
