Dear Experts,
sec 164 of companies Act, suggest we can take copy of extracts of balance sheet and annual returns filed - whether it is applicable for private limited company and who can apply for the same.

S.164. REGISTERS, ETC., TO BE EVIDENCE.
The register of members, the register of debenture holders, and the annual returns, certificates and statements referred to in section 159, 160 and 161 shall be prima facie evidence of any matters directed or authorised to be inserted therein by this Act.

Your quarry doesn't fall within the perview of section 164 of companies Act as nothing can be demand against that section.

Dear Experts,
Thanks for your comments.
Sec. 164 prescribes that any person can ask the company to provide extract returns and balance sheets by paying prescribed fees. My Querry is : (1) It is applicable for private limited company, Public Limited Company which is not listed company
(2) Whether the Balance Sheet also can be made available by virtue of this section.
