Sir, If FDA authority seized goods without any showcause notice or even without disclosing reasons for the seizure, can we file a FIR with Local Police against such action or else only remedy available to us is to get suitable direction from Hogh Court by way of filing a Writ Petition..

Sir, i just wanted to know that if authorities of Food and Drugs Admin seizes goods manufactured by any food manufacturing unit, without stating / disclosing the nature of violation / contravention commited by the manufacturer, what is the legal remedy available to the manufacturer. It is further clarified that the authorities have not given any specific reason justifying the action taken by them.

The authority is not bound to disclose at the initial stage the reason of seizure but definitely the notice shall contain the detail and the same can be got rebutted in the similar way.
