Separate without divorce

Husband died last year in April 2014 due to medical reason, and before his death wife live separate without divorce.
Now girls family wants settlement,
What is the procedure of settlement.

Wife if not divorced, has right in the property of the husband. Try amicable settlement.

But girls family wants mutually settlement and wants whatever given on the time of marriage in the hands of his brother because she do not want come here and sign any documents.
