Who serves a SCN on Respondents in a WP under 226 , it it the Petitioner or the Honrable Court ?
One of the defects pointed by Court is that Notice has not been served upon Respondents.
As I am Party in person not aware of legal rules please provide a feedback . Thnaks

High Court has asked to service A Show Cause Notice [SCN] against the government official held responsible for misconduct. This is a Criminal writ & I really dont know who has to service the notice ?

If you are the petitioner in the Writ petition, then yo should file the summons, batta or the process memo to serve the summons/notice to the respondents, i.e., you should keep the copies of the petition and the envelopes with stamps affixed with the AD card attached and this is to be attached to the main petition at the time of filing the case.
