Settlement of dues on resignation

Dear Sir,

One of friend of mine was working with a pvt ltd company,he resigned from the services by end of Feb 11, company is delaying payment giving reason of poor financial condition, Here I want to know is there any time period (by law) for the settlement of dues ? kindly explain.

There is Limitation. If your friend is not paid, move Labour court, if he was in workmen category, or file civil suit.

Limitation period is 3 years from the date of acceptance of his resignation.
