Share in family property

Respected sir/madam
can my mother participate the her father share of property.my mother's father has 4 children(two brother and two sister) but my mother's father and mother has died 6 years ago.
that time nobody know who are owner of the property.
tell me what is the procedure for demand the share in property.
and how can see the real owner of the property now. i don't know 'will' is prepared or not.

if the property has still not been partitioned then she may claim her right there.
if it was her father's self acquired property and was partitioned as per will then she will not be having any right therein.

yes ,your mother is also entitled for share in your g fathers property if that property is ancessotral property then even after the will she have some share in it and if the property is self acuired property by your g father then he was free to make its will,you can check the enteries in revenue record if there was any will executed documents will be containing the reference of will.
