I and my wife were married for 30 years, both working, i bought a house loan of which was paid from my salary. I have now retired and on pension of 20k while wife still on job with salary of 100k, i am keeping sick and she treats me as a liability, A year back she availed a house loan of 800k for repairing of house, she has paid 20 instalments of the same, she has now deserted me since last 10months, on my repeated requests to return she says she wants half of the house in her name and day by day her conditions are increasing, she adds she would not take the responsibility of providing food or any financial assistance either, the house is 25 years old with mkt value of 1crore, can any expert please suggest the types of remedies available to me, i am not keeping well and am trapped

Sell the house and keep the money in fixed deposit or invest in mutual funds for self and enjoy life without wife with interest you'll get from fixed deposit or mutual funds. If wife not coming back let her remain away at least you'll have tension free life. You can live in rented house for rest of your remaining life and make Will for anyone you so desire to have your money or investments after your death.
If you don't want your wife to get anything dis-inherit her from your estate/investments.

I endorse the expert advise of Mr. Vijay Raj Mahajan.
Why do you succumb to the pressure of such lady who is least interested in your care/welfare but more in the property? Just forget her company, live kingsize life in her absence and enjoy your hard earned money/ property and assets.

I heartily appreciate the real practical life advice of Shri Vijay Raj Mahajan. That will be the best solution for your problem. Although there are several legal solutions for you to tackle your problem, but when you are facing health problems also, any legal fight may bring more and more sorrows for you, that not being so easy, as you may be thinking in your mind.

You may also employ a nurse to take your care by paying her the salary out of the sumptuous earning of interest due on the fixed deposit made by selling your property. That way, she cannot claim any part of the property, but still be liable to pay the EMIs of the loan amount taken by her for repairs.

So, forget about taking any legal action. Let your wife remain aloof, if she can enjoy her life without your company.
