Share of property to daughter

(Querist) 23 May 2012 This query is : Resolved
Hi all,

My family consisted of 4 members, my father who expired 10years back, mother who live with me (is a home maker), and a sister 40 years old,who is married and living happily in husband's house.

my father was a govt official, who expired 12 years back, mother is a home maker. my mother purchased a house 20 years back, which is in her name,(obviously money was given by my father), now wants to sell the house. the question is whether my sister is eligible for any share in this regard. if yes for how much percentage.

Kindly advise.
Thanks,
Raghavendra.

Dear Raghavendra
if the property owner is your mother then noone can stop her to sellor transfer the property by any means and she has no right in this property without any Will or wish of your mother.
Feel free to call

As if no one have right to restrict to sale the property, but after her life , you all brother and sisters are equal rights of the property, all are subject to any will or settlement to any one. if then they are the legal owner of it.

your mother has full rights to sell the property as she is absolute owner of the same .

Your mother can deal with the property in any manner she deems fit.
