Should rental agreement of 11 months need to be registered in tamilnadu

Hi Experts,

I am not able to find a proper answer for above question. Many website says it is not required to register if period is less that 1 year. But I header that law has changed and it need to be registered even if for 11 months.

In most of the States (including Rajasthan ) rent agreement for the period of less than one
year is not required to register.

This is not an academic query. I am renting out my property to a company as their guest house.

Also, is Rs 100 stamp paper is enough ?. Or should it be % of rental value ?

it is advisable to register leave and licence agreement .in Mahrashtra it is requid to be compulsory registered

Is it just advisable or mandatory ?. Registering involves lot of hurdles. So would appreciate a clear answer from legal perspective..

Also, does making an agreement on Rs 100 stamp paper even valid ?

11 months rental agreement need not be registered in Tamilnadu. It is an option before you that if you choose to register nothing will forbid you you from doing so.
