Status of Backward Class students converted to Christianity

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 05 August 2011 This query is : Resolved
Hellow Sir,
I belongs to Gowda caste in A.P which comes under list of Backward Class. I converted to Christian religion in the year 1995. I recorded religion as Christian in School records of my Children. The same has mentioned in their TC also. School authorities menttioned religion as Christian caste as Gowda and and BC-B. What is my status relating to backwardclass as constitution or Government Order.

Request clarify.
Thanking you.

please enquire locally, as every state has different rules and status for such things.

as you are a converted christian,in my opinion, you no longer belongs to backward class.

I agree with Mr.Mahendrakumar.

In the state of Andhra Pradesh, converted christian belongs to BC(C).
