Step brother's claim on property

(Querist) 19 August 2014 This query is : Resolved
Hello ,
I have a step brother who never helped my parents for a single penny or by physically in their critical time and after death of my father he claims that he is having share in my father's hard earned property ...
My father was aware of his habit that's why he prepared a will in the name of my mother and three children excluding my step brother but unfortunatlly this will was prepared on the last days of my fathers life when sufferring from cancer that's why will couldn't get register, its a noterrised wil now..
What we can do now in this case when doesn't have any right.?

you can apply for probate of will . mere fact that will is notarised and not registered wont affect validity of will .

Unregistered will is equally applicable. Apply for the probate of the will.

Engage a good lawyer handling such matters and proceed under his expert advice.

If WILL is proved genuine and probated the beneficiaries as in the WILL shall get the estate of the deceased.
