can a duaghter in law get back streedhan (gold jewellery) without filing divorce case from her mother in law as she carried away my gold jewellery along with her?

Yes,she can get return the STREEDHAN by lodging a diary to the Police and filing a case u/sec.406 IPC in Magistrate Court,failing which she can file a Petition u/sec.94 Cr.P.C in the same Court.

If your daughter in law has taken your jewellery then it is better to either serve a notice and demand back failing which to file a FIR. Even DV Act case can also be filed by mother in law against her.
