If you don't get the information within 30 days stipulated period. You should file the First appeal to the First Appellate Authority of the concerned department. You should add five days 30+5( days in transit of post)= 35 days. So, you should get the reply from PIO within the stipulated period. After say 35 days file application with first appellate authority. If again you did not get reply, then you should file your application with Central Information commission, New Delhi against deemed refusal. But before applying to Central Information Commission, you will have to file appeal before the First Appellate Authority of the concerned department. You have the option to file Complaint U/S 18 of Right to information act, 2005 to file before Central Information Commission, but your complaint may be rejected on the ground that you have not availed the Appeal before the First Appellate Authority. So,it is better to file appeal before First appellate authority.
