Sue a company.

I have found an insect in a food product of one of india's reputed company. And i want to sue a company for that.

So what are the procedures for that?
What steps should i take?
Is it worth spending time and money on this?

Inform the health department of your area.

File a case before the consumer court.

It is not worth for a common man.

But, if are having a interest in social activities, you can / will / must do that.

Thank you all the experts for your honest opinion.

I really want to file a complaint in a consumer court so the company can improve on quality, but i really hate government works, got a bad experience about that..

Is filing a complain in consumer court and further process very lengthy?

DO i have to hire a lawyer for that?

Do you get a compensation money from the company?

You can file consumer complaint wherein you can insist to send the commodity to be checked and verified to some reputed lab and it shall not take such time in decision. No expenses except nominal court fee.
