summons under 108 customs act

I have received a first summons under 108 customs act to appear for witness. but I am working out of country and is not possible to get leave.what should I do? what is the legal recourse for me?

have received a first summons under 108 customs act to appear for witness. but I am working out of country and is not possible to get leave.what should I do? what is the legal recourse for me? also can customs arrest me or detain me if I have gone for recording of statement? ?

Engage an advocate and ask him to represent you in court stating the reasons of your non-availability. If in near future you can not come to India you can seek expunging your name from witness list.
