Whether super build up area is included in the house sale agreement.
I have purchased flat for which i paid for 1100 super build area. Though builder has mentioned only 822 build up area in the agrmnt. kindly let me know what r the legal implcatns binding on me

Are you from Maharashtra? In this state although the builders charge for super built up area they mention in the agreement only the built up area as the stamp duty is assessed on built up area. However recently the Govt of Maharashtra made it compulsory for the builders to charge the flat buyers on carpet area basis. So in some agreements the builders showing the cost of the flat on the basis of the carpet area and separate charges for the common areas such as lifts, porticoes, etc.

The property is in maharashtra.I have purchased property in oct 2010.was the above law in existence in oct 2010.
