Tax law and degree of ca

(Querist) 17 June 2013 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
I am a student of law. I am interested Tax Law and want to be a Tax Litigant. Many of my friends and seniors have advised me to get a Chartered Accountant degree besides law. They say that it will give me a better knowledge of Accounts which is very important for being a Tax Lawyer. Please guide.
Will it be okay without a degree of CA (without affecting my prospects of being a good Tax Lawyer)or should I go for CA also.

There are very successful Taxation lawyers who are not CA. some CAs are also having excellent knowledge of taxation law. It depends upon the efforts you put on getting the knowledge. Choice is yours, how you want to proceed.

sone pe suhaga. they call it if u qualify as c.a besides a tax lawyer.

being c.a takes you to not only law,but also, accounts, finance, and many corporate services .
these days, economy being globally down, corp orates prefer somebody who is dual qualified, like c.a plus c.s or c.s plus LL.B or c.a plus ll.b.
you will be more an enlightened asset to corporate s if you are legally qualified also.
your marketability and negotiating power in job market will enhance to superior heights.
what is your choice?do u want to take up a challenge? go ahead and tons of luck to you.
