It will give U a certificate for the amount. In any event, such amount,if any, will be adjusted when processing your I-T Returns as any TDS automatically goes in with your PAN.

Online check / download your 26AS form by registering yourself with the Income Tax site. It would give you the details of TDS / Tax to your credit. You can check your 26AS through your Bank account if you have online Banking facility.
If Bank has deducted any tax, ask for form 16 downloaded by them from TRACES (Income Tax) site.

The bank must have given you the Fixed Deposit certificate wherein they state details reg. Principal Amt.,Rate of Interest, Period of deposit and maturity sum. Now, you can match ,the actual amount rpaid by the bank upon maturity. In case you notice any short fall in maturity sum, then this gap represents TDS component.
Besides , if you log in to e-filing website of Income tax deptt. , you find access to Form No. 26AS , which discloses details of sums deposited towards TDS/ TCS against your PAN number. The same can be downloaded from the site for your reference.
