Tenancy

My property was rented out for 11 months which got vacated. However, minor damages to my property and disfigurement of furniture and fittings and missing articles, inspite of verbal assurances by the tenant at the time of renting for safe-keeping is extremely disappointing. Please advise.

These are called job hazards. if you have security deposit with you youc and deduct reasonable amount for such repairing charges.

You can send legal notice to the previous tenant and if no response, file case.


However, legal procedure being time and cost consuming, relief if provided by the court after 4-5 years may not compensate your loss and legal expenses.

just act as per your rental agreement..

out of the agreement it is both of your's mutual understanding and consent..

was damage pointed out to tenant before he vacated the premises . you should have deducted damage caused to your flat from security deposit lying with you
