Terrace roof rights

Hello sir,
I have bought the top floor flat in a building with roof rights. The builder has installed separate water tanks for other flat owners on my roof. Other flat owners want to install extra water tanks for on my roof without my permission. Is it legally right.
Also I have put a lock on my roof. The other flat owners want me to allow them to hand over the key to the watchman daily just to check water level in their respective water tanks. In this way i have no privacy for my roof where i have kept my personal things.

Since you have bought roof rights too, you have right to privacy there in. But since the water tanks are situated there, you will have to provide access to concerned owners of the water tanks. This can be arranged in your presence. Extra water tanks can be installed only after your consent and payment of any charges as per your demand.

Thanks. But how is it possible for me to be there present every day just bcoz they want to check water level in their tanks. As per my sale deed papers i am allowed to entertain them for water tank maintenance or tv antena setup. There are lots of electronic devices in the market which shows water levels of water tank. the owners can install them in their houses.

you can fix timings wherein watchmen can take inspection of water tank .

You can suggest them strictly that they can install such device in their homes. Only for maintenance or cleaning you will allow them on the roof. If you become soft now, that will become precedent and they will start demanding as of right. So dont be too lenient to them. But dont be harsh too. They are your neighbours and one needs to be in good terms with the neighbours.
