can a claimant in the case of hit and run motor accident case claim any compensation? and from whom? is there any fund and if so who give such fund for such accident?

First of all tell me whether there any FIR registered or not? If yes, then u can file a case in the court of concerned sub-division magistrate. If not then u can't.
In case of injury a claimant can claim 25,000/- & in death case 50,000/-

O.K. there is FIR etc. Secondly who give such fund the Central Government or the State Government?
