Threatening to break the letter box

(Querist) 16 January 2013 This query is : Resolved
Dear Experts,

Kindly guide me...

I'm a resident of a rented room on 2nd floor.
My landlord is destroying all my mails and correspondences as he wants to evict us. So I want to install my own letter box. But he is threatening my that if I'll do so then he will break the Letter Box too.

Sir, I'm preparing for CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATIONS and those call letters are important for me. So what to do as he has good hold in the locality.

Thank You With Warm Regards.

Give a written notice to the postmaster that the postman should hand over your mail to you personally. Postal employess are criminally liable under Post Office Act, if the mail (even unregistered) is handed over to anyone.

Do not put letter box.

I do endorse the advice of Sudhir.
