i am a working woman, i and my husband co-own a flat. i am not paying the EMI for the house only my husband is paying the EMI. i am not contributing financially in any way. my husband sent an email to me stating that if i don't share the EMI, he is bound to remove my ownership from the flat. is that possible, can i loose my ownership ? will this email constitute as DV towards me ? please advise

Yes, your husband may get your name removed through the Court.
It do not fall under the provision of Section 18 of the Protection of Woman from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

Husband asking you to share emi for housing loan of the flat owned by both is no domestic violence towards you rather by not doing so inspite of having means to do so, you're committing wrong.
In a matrimonial home when both parties are working, they both should share towards household expenses.
At one time modern woman of society seek equality in all aspects and when it comes to sharing household expenses she's only looking for husband's contribution even if she's also working, that's by no means fair and justified.

is it legally acceptable for my husband in forcing me to pay EMI ?

Your ownership rights in the said property would be proportionate to the funds you have contributed? Why you are so adamant in not sharing the EMI?
