time period for charge sheet to an employee

sir , i am working in a nationalised bank and have been suspended since dec-07-2008 but till date i have been not served charge sheet by my employers as such i am not able to justify myself.i want to know the time frame of charge sheet to be served to me is there or no limit as per law in banking industry or indian law.

Keeping an employee under suspension depends upon fact circumstances of the case. In central government offices, 3 months is the period for keeping a person under suspension and after 3 months, there shall be a review whether to continue employee under suspension.
Further suspension is not punishment. Hence charge sheet and suspension need not be connected at all. Your employer may issue charge sheet even while keeping you under suspension.
However, there shall be some justification for keeping an employee for long by paying subsistence allowance. If you do not see any justification, you can proceed legally.
