you have to affix Rs.10/- court fee lable on the vakalat in Mumbai. As an Advocate you can file the vakalatnama any where in India, as advised by the Experts above.

Dear Shri Raja,
In fact someone of your community brethren needs to take up the cudgels against violation of sec.30 of the Advocates Act, which already stands amended since 31st January 1974, which clearly specifies right to practice of an advocate in all Courts including the Supreme Court, as per the provision of Sec.30(i).

As has rightly been opined by learned Shri PS Dhingra ji, section 30 of the Advocates Act has already been enforced throughout the country. Under such circumstances, there can be no Rules of any High Court which can over-ride the aforesaid provisions of the Act. Therefore, I am of the view that as per the law prevailing in the country today, any Advocates enrolled in any Bar Council in India, has right of appearance in any Court/Tribunal in the country irrespective of the State Bar Council to which his/her was enrolled. If any Court/Tribunal disallows or objects to this, it is a flagrant violation of the provisions of the law and one can challenge the said action in the court of law.
