I am a senior citizen of 62 years of age staying with my wife, son, daughter in law and a grand son in a flat owned by me(not inherited). I have some FDs in Banks. Is it possible for me and my wife to make a will and donate all my property and money to any charitable organization? We do not want to give anything to my son and his family. Please advise.

You can do so, there is no legal implication. But hope you will surely save something for your grand children.

Dear Sir,
Making a will and donating the property are two diffrent aspect. First, you have to decide what you want to do. A will shall operate only upon your death. On the hand if you donate it, then immidiate possession to donee is must.
I advice you to make a will, wherein you can create charge over 'property and money' in favour of your wife during her life time and thereafter after her death, to devolve property in favour of your grandson with a condition that same shall not be disposed of by him until he attains age of majority.

You can make a Will as per your desires no problem on that. 62 years is not very old age. There are natural set backs in health in old age and you may require money to maintain yourself and your wife. Do write a will but make use of what ever you have for self and wife and live a good life. Priorities in life, wisdom says, are 1. Health 2. Wealth 3. Children.

Every will is meant to be challnaged on several grounds.
Even during your life time you may donate all your estate to charitable organisation for being embezzled by trustee (may be even in your life time).
