Transfer/posting on spouse ground

SIR, I AM A TRAINEE OFFICER IN SBI ,NOW FOR POSTING I WAS GIVEN BIJNOR IN UTTARPRADESH DISTRICT ,BUT MY WIFE IS POSTED IN BARABANKI(U.P) DISTRICT AS GOVT. TEACHER ,WE BOTH HUSBAND AND WIFE LIVING SEPARATELY SINCE FOUR YEARS ,I HAVE A DAUGHTER OF TWO YRS & SIX MONTH,MY WIFE IS FACING LOTS OF DIFFICULTIES ,IT IS POSSIBLE FOR ME THAT I CAN BE GET A POSTING NEAR BARABANKI DISTRICT,AS I HAVE NOT JOINED ,WHAT REMEDY IS AVAILABLE TO ME. PLEASE SUGGEST , AS I HAVE ALREADY FILED AN APPLICATION TO LOCAL HEAD OFFICE,BUT NO RESPONSE CAME FROM THEM.

make request at registered office of sbi to post at barabanki and also request your seniors to help.

Trainee officers and probationary officers after completing probation of are posted by SBI as per service needed and requirement for career development. These are considered cream layer officers by SBI and use their service to train them in each field. You have accepted the promotion and given in writing that you are ready to accept transfer any where in India. Posting is for 3 years in average.

Legally you have no right to be posted / transferred at your place of choice.

Your wife can request her department to transfer her on the basis of couple case.

Alternately you should take in confidence the SBI Officers Association General secretary or some top SBI Lucknow Circle officer to get you adjusted. Outside pressure may effect adversely.
