Transit anticipatory bail

What is the transit anticipatory bail?
I am staying in Mumbai & a case against me has been filed in state of Punjab. Now i am planning on taking a transit anticipatory bail from the Mumbai high court. On this bail, can i travel to Punjab wherein i cannot get arrested or will i have to take another anticipatory bail in the Chandigarh high court as well?

If you get transit anticipatory bail then during the limited time of transit you could not be arrested and on reaching the destination you have to apply for fresh bail.
