Dear Mr. Amogh,

The Govt. has power under Electricity & Telegraph act to erect towers on any pvt. land. Now a days, the erection work done by pvt. or govt. erection company, which enter in to contract with Electricity board. In most of cases, the liability to pay compensation to farmer on mainly two aspects 01. damage to crop etc., & 2. and occupied land on which towers erected.

From the experience, mostly the pvt. erection companies pay lump sum amount as compensation.

If you not satisfied with compensation issue, there is provision to file Civil Misc. Application to local Civil Court and the Dist. Judge has power to dispose off the matter and there will be no court fees.

For any information from such authority, you may apply under RTI.
