Hello All, there was withdrawal of 25000 from my account through ATM. As I got the withdrawal messages I called the emergency number of Federal bank and tried to stop the transaction but till the executive came on line the money was deducted in 3 transactions 10000,10000 and 5000. Now when next morning I went to bank and told them that when the card is with me and I have not withdrawn the money, they say I must have shared my pin or u r card is cloned ...they said they will not be responsible for this the police will the matter.. I have raised a complaint in police station to but its been 5 days now no action is taken.... Please suggest what further actions should I take. N is the bank responsible for this theft?

First check whether any FIR registered or not.
If not then file petition u/s 156(3) crpc.
In the meantime if the Bank does not compensate you even after placing written demand for this then file writ petition in high court on violation of RBI Circular.

Lodge police complaint and demand CCTV footage from bank.
Lodge complaint with RBI.
Bank is responsible for IT frauds and issue cards that can't be cloned.

Not only police action but a written complaint to Bankers Ombudsman is required to be made seeking complete compensation.

Thank you all for your advice
Just to inform you tat local Police station denied to register FIR and said to register complaint in the police station where the bank is .. bank says it doesn't have any customer dispute form... Can I raise a complaint to RBI through mail? Do I need to contact a lawyer to file petition u/s 156(3) crpc.

Have you lodged any complaint in writing under proper acknowledgment so far;
With bank: If yes bank has to reply to you.
With Police; If police is of the opinion that another police station has to look into matter then it may send the complaint to that jurisdictional police station.
You may also send complaint to CEPD;RBI.
