In 1995 my mother registered a will in favor to me and left out my only sister. In 2002 my mother made an unregistered revocation will. She died in 2008. Is the revocation will valid. How should I know the authenticity of it.

Surely regd.will has got weightage over unregd.will.As soon as you will start acting on your will your sister will come forward with another will of cancellation. But instead of fighting with your sister and seeking legal advice, better settle with her.

If the will has been revoked in writing in the way a will is executed then will has been revoked. No registration of revocation is required. There is no question of weightage of a registered will over the revocation which has been done as per the Indian Succession Act. Only thing is if the revocation is in writing it should be executed in the same way as as a will.
