unwanted phone calls by Insurance Companies, banking Institutions.

It has been observed that nowdays, many Banking and Insurance Companies make calls on anybody's mobile number and press them to secure clientage. It becomes very disturbing when an individual is busy in his work or taking rest.
Is there any law or Hon'ble Court order banning unwanted calls disturbing any body's privacy. Please send me the copy of order or judgement in this reference.

The matter is pending before the hounarable supreme court in the meanwhile you can complain to the telecom regulatory authority of inda and also to the consumer protection councils they will take up your concern.

you can make ur no registered with ur service provider that u dont want unregistered calls.
it will get effected within one month from the date of registration and if even after that priod u get unwanted calls, you can lodge a complaint with the call centre. if no action taken, then lodge it with the person appointed in this regard by the service provider.

Send a legal notice to your service provider and file a case in consumer forum.
