Urgent - forgery of documents

(Querist) 09 November 2011 This query is : Resolved
dear all,
an unregistered partnership firm has been in dispute for past 4 years among 5 partners. and there was a litigation filed by 3 partners against the other 2 partners. but after 2 years they withdrew the case stating that their firm is not registered u/s 59 of Indian Partnership Act,1932. In the year 2011 the 3 partners registered the firm by forging the documents for registration by replicating the signature of 2 partners. On enquiring with the registrar of firms the other 2 partners recd a certified copy and it was evident that the signature was forged. my question is
1. can the inspector general of registrar of firm cancel the registration after the enquiry.
2. what are the power vested with the registrar to take against such forgery.

None of the above answer the query raised by the querist. He wnats to know whether he can file complaint with the Registrar of Partnership about fortgery and seek cancellation of the Registartion. I think the Registrar has such powers. The querist may discuss the issue with the Registrar and seek his guidance.
